The Army Air Corps ruled the skies over Europe and the Pacific Theater during WWII. Emblazoned across the fuselage of nearly 300,000 BBBs (big, beautiful bombers), nimble fighters, reconnaissance and transport aircraft, the five-pointed white star encircled in ultramarine blue was a welcome sight to Allied Forces across the globe.
Though this insignia was retired in 1947 with the advent of the US Air Force, it remains one of the most recognized symbols in US history. Printed on American-made cotton with a soft hand and crisp, optic-white finish, this all-American symbol never goes out of style: Wear it with pride.
